Feeling ambitious last Saturday I head out with my friend Julie for a brisk morning trot. Well, what Julie considered to be a trot left me with aching legs for days …..
Still, even as my legs were close to giving out on our return to the hostel, I knew this was the highlight of my weekend.
We ran, we walked, we explored. We paused for photo opts and to taste the creamy chocolate of a decadent éclair. We had several close encounters with the local swans and tangled ourselves in some tantalizing trees. We even stumbled into a sweet reminder of home.

Running or walking is really the best way to get to know a place in its purest form. Standing at the top of the hill over the Geneva panorama had an overwhelming power to make me feel insignificantly small. I was once again reminded that I am only one teeny-tiny speck on this earth and that there is so much more out there just waiting to be explored.

Sounds like a fabulous morning! I need to get out and run in new locations more often. My body really needs it!
I love running to explore a new place! You find things that you would never find otherwise. Gets you away from all the touristy areas too. Thanks for reading =]
OMG all the peanut butter. haha That beach looks so incredibly tranquil. Looks like a great day!
ahah Peanut Butter heaven. I hate to say it but this place really put Madrid’s Taste of America to shame.
I recently went there but your photos look completely different to the Geneve I visited. I should definitely plan another trip there
