These last few weeks we've been attached at the hip.👫 Between me working from home, and him being on vacation, we've pretty much spent every waking moment [and sleeping moment 😴for that matter] together. It was quite the adjustment from a long distance relationship based in Facetime dates and random whatsapp GIFs, so neither of us was sure what to expect. BUT we made it through! 🙏🏼 And now, we're on to our next chapter [international moves, new jobs, visas and more long distance sprinkled throughout]. 😱 Change and new beginnings can be scary, but having this one by my side [sometimes literally, sometimes not so much] makes all the difference! 😘
You are radiant. YES. YOU. 🌈✨[Needed this today, and who knows? Maybe you did too!] . REAL TALK: I've been feeling pretty stressed and overwhelmed lately. I thought I had it all under control, but turns out, it's catching up to me. Being my own boss has been a crazy adjustment. It's been going well for the most part, but it's a challenge. And not only have I been trying to navigate the world of freelance (including figuring out my own taxes, insurance, work schedule, etc.), but also balancing a ton of travel, a boyfriend who's on vacation for the month, an upcoming international move, parents who are gearing up to sell my childhood home, blogging and well, everything else that comes along with life. So, Instagram has been put on the back burner. Even though I've been dying to share all of my adventures and travels, I simply haven't had it in me. Insetead, I've been trying to be nice to myself, understand that this is an adjustment period, and not stretch myself too thin. . And so- to all my kickass freelancing friends out there- How on EARTH do you do it? 😜 Any and all tips are welcome- and hats off to you 🤩
It's only been a few weeks, and already I feel it. There's a reason long distance isn't for everyone. It's not easy to be away from your person. BUT that ends TODAY. See you in a few hours mi amor!! 🙃💕
On Thursday I helped an older man on crutches carry his suitcase up the stairs out of the subway in NY. It was hot, extremely humid, and I could see he was struggling. So, I simply offered to help. People all around were buzzing by, rushing on to their next destination, looking down at their phones, completely oblivious to the world around them. One even pushed by us as we worked our way up, nearly knocking the man over.⠀ .⠀ Why am I telling you this story? Honestly, it’s not to get a pat on the back ... really. Because I don’t deserve it. 🙅🏼‍♀️All I did was take a moment to lend a helping hand when no one else was paying attention. BUT, I too have been that person, rushing by, only concerned with my reality. I too often find myself consumed with my current situation, oblivious to the world around me. I'm not special or superior. I'm no different. ⠀ .⠀ So, then, why am I telling you? Well, I was hoping to inspire you (and to remind myself!) to go out and actively do little things like this more often. Because it took less than 2 minutes from my day, and made someone else’s. ⠀ .⠀ The second we all start putting other people first, even if only for a moment, this world will become a much better place. So, strive to be the type of person that holds the door, that helps a frazzled shopper carry their groceries, or the type of person who simply smiles at a stranger. These little acts of kindness go further than you could possibly imagine.

Days like today long distance *especially* sucks. Wish I could tackle you with hugs and kisses today, but I can’t wait to squeeze the 💩out of you SO SOON. Thank you for being the most supportive, loving, understanding and patient partner that this girl could ask for. Pásalo chévere en Chile mi amor! 🇨🇱 Te mando un beso gigante desde 🇺🇸
The hills are aliveee with the sound of musiccc 🎶- have had this song stuck in my head for weeks. Especially this week as I've been going through all my #Liechtenstein photos. I mean, have you ever seen such a GREEN countryside?! 💚💚
The "she" to my "nanigans." Swipe right for the full progression of this lady spinning me around and dropping me right on my a$$. 🤦‍♀ . Long distance relationships. They ain't easy. And I'd be straight up lying if I said I enjoyed the feeling of FOMO, and the fact that I feel like I've missed out on so much over the years. BUT, in a way, I do feel closer to many of my friends. Of course I haven't been able to keep close contact with EVERYONE (but isn't that something normal that comes along with #adulting?). And, I do feel like those close relationships I have been able to maintain, have actually become stronger. My close friends and I have had to find creative ways to keep in touch and make our relationship meaningful. Sure, we miss each other, but the time we do get to spend together becomes that much more special. We've gotten to discover and explore new places together and we're still just a phone call (or voice note) away.
