There’s something incredibly alluring about the delicate deliciousness of a warm crepe. Hot off the pan, these thin doughy pancakes are hard to resist. Filled with gooey melted chocolate and fresh sliced fruit, there’s really just no saying no.

Well, who knew that one of my favorite desserts was so easy to make. I can’t wait to impress my family and friends with my new surprisingly simple dessert. A big thanks to my roommate Alicia and her mom for sharing their favorite family recipe!

4 Ingredient Crepes

Prep Time: about 5 minutes; Cook Time: About 10 minutes

Makes about 5-10 crepes (depending on thickness)

  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 Cup of Flour
  • 1 Cup of Milk
  • ½ Cup of sugar

Step 1 Preparing the batter: Blend all ingredients together in a large bowl. For best results use an electronic mixer. Mix ingredients until completely smooth.

Step 2 Greasing the pan: Heat a non-stick frying pan on medium heat. Using a paper towel or napkin spread melted butter or oil around the base of the pan.

Step 3 Cook the crepes: When the pan is warm, pour or scoop some of the crepe batter into the pan. Adjust thickness to liking. (I like thin crepes so I added just enough batter to cover the base of the pan)

Step 4 Flip the crepe: To prevent sticking, use a spatula to lightly loosen the ends of the crepe while cooking. Cook time should be about 1-2 minutes per side depending on thickness and heat. When the edges begin to turn brown, check the underside of crepe. If it is golden brown, flip.

Step 5 Cook the opposite side: Repeat step 4 for the opposite side. When golden brown remove from pan.

**Tip- If you’d like to add Nutella to your crepe, spread it on just before removing the crepe from the pan. This will warm the chocolate and allow it to melt before serving.

Step 6 Enjoy: Serve warm, with whatever you like!

Hope you find this recipe as delightfully simple and delicious as I did! 🙂
