Just incase you were starting to miss your kiddies after a long week of spring break ….. here’s a little something to say WELCOME BACK 😉
Disclaimer: Overall I have to give the Auxiliary Program some props. It is the reason all of us Auxiliaries are living the good life over here in España. Still, as we all know, being a language assistant in Spain isn’t all rainbows and butterflies. Here’s a comical spin on the “tonterías” we deal with on a daily basis.
This one’s for you fellow auxiliaries!
I’d like to title this post:
#auxilarprobs
How you feel about the noise level in the classrooms…

When a teacher asks you to write something on the board…

When a student answers a completely different question than the one that you asked…

Every time you ask for a volunteer…

The way your students feel about the disciplinary system at your school…

When your students use the literal translation of words like “joder” or “coño”…

When your students realize you understand a bit of Spanish…

When you hear “hello teacher” in the hall .. every 27 seconds…

When the teachers decide to give you instructions in Spanish…

How you feel.. well .. a lot of the time …

When a student catches you on your phone…

When you have to repeat the same thing over and over… and over …

When you finally get paid at the end of the month…

One week later….

The amount of times you hear “for example” everyday…

When you realize you are using “for example” just as much…

When someone tries to talk to you during your unpaid break…

When your students finally seem interested in something you’re saying…

When you get the invite to an off-campus field trip…

How you feel about your favorite students…

When one of your students gives you a compliment…

When a student raises their hand to ask about English grammar…

How you feel about food by recreo…

When someone makes a joke about you in class … and you have no idea what was said ….

When you tell a joke in class that no one understands….

When you tell a joke in class and someone actually gets it …

When a teacher asks you to plan a lesson…

When your students ask to borrow a rubber…

How you feel by Thursday …

Hope you enjoyed!
Anyone have any other tonterías they’d like to share?

Where did you find all of these?! HILARIOUS!
bahahaha yes, yes, & YES. All of these are so relevant. I love the Bradley Cooper gif. I literally run out of school at 230 on Thursdays while my students still try to chat. Noooope – see ya Monday children.
Love that Thursday’s are the new Friday’s. Life is just so much better with a 3-day weekend. Should be the norm.
Bahahaha. This made me laugh so hard. Spot on!!
Glad I got some laughs !!
Hahaha I know what you mean about the ‘For Example’ thing!!!! I have this issue with my boyfriend – holy crap it’s like he has all the examples in the world!!
What’s even worse is when I catch myself doing it now…. all the time … I feel like I don’t know how to explain things without using ‘for example’ anymore 🙂
I love the Dwight gif. I feel like that 90% of the time. Loved this. Thanks!!
